My wife and I had another great evening this last weekend. We got dressed and headed for one of my favorite Italian restaurants here in Dallas. Great food and great wine to go with it. We went late, weren't seated for dinner until after 9, so it was about 11 PM when we left the restaurant. I suggested that we drive down and visit The Joule again for after dinner drinks, and she enthusiastically agreed. She was wearing a knee length copper colored silk-blend cocktail dress, multi-colored fabric 4 inch spike heels with rhinestones, and suntan thigh high stockings. I had a plum dress shirt with a silk tie, black wool dress slacks and black leather loafers.

We headed up the elevator to the rooftop pool, and found one of the loungers for two to relax on. The cocktail waitress soon showed up to take our drink order - she smiled and said hi, she actually remembered us from our earlier visit. She said she loved how much fun we had last time, and then complimented my wife on her dress. She said she wasn't sure if we should head for a swim again, as that dress looked too nice and it would be too bad if it got ruined. My wife just smiled and said she was thinking about it, would have to decide.

Of course, we were definitely planning to go for a swim, so after relaxing and enjoying our drinks for a few minutes we decided it was time. We got up and headed for the edge with the steps. Without even hesitating, she stepped down on the first step, submerging her stilettos. I stepped in in my shoes also, and we held hands and descended into the pool, a step at a time, with smiles and giggles from her at each step and a few others clapping and adding words of encouragement. The depth at the bottom of the steps is 3 1/2 ft., bringing the water to just above my waist, and a bit below her breasts. We ducked down to neck level and swam out to the outer edge, overhanging the sidewalk & street 10 stories below. We spent about 15-20 minutes in the pool, enjoying the water together, and then climbed out to relax and enjoy our drinks. As before, there were dry towels waiting for us on our exit.

While we were in the pool, one of the hotel staff appeared and asked us why we were swimming fully dressed. We said just to cool off and have fun, that we'd been here once before and that the waitress said it was fine. He said he'd have to check with the general manager, and we worried that maybe our new-found favorite place wasn't going to continue. However, as we exited the pool, the general manager came over and introduced himself - said he was sorry the staff person had questioned us - said he had been sitting in the back watching, that we were well-behaved, weren't causing any kind of disturbance or scene, and were welcome to enjoy the pool! I got his name and email, in order to write him a note and thank him for his graciousness and hospitality, and to assure him we'll be back and will likely bring friends.

While we were sitting and enjoying our drinks, a gal with another group - looked to be about 45 or so - removed her shoes and waded around on the top couple steps, enjoying the cool water on her feet, but not going in deep enough to wet her short black cocktail dress with sequined straps. I told my wife if we went back in, she might be encouraged to go in the rest of the way for a swim too. So, we got up and walked back over, down the steps and into the water. The woman in the black dress looked a little surprised, but said it sure looked like we were having fun! We assured her that we were, and said she should really come in too. We chatted a minute or two but she didn't immediately come in - she had come from a wedding nearby with several friends and said she really shouldn't go in in her dress, she wasn't sure if it would survive. My wife told her she had been in once before in a black silk dress similar to hers, and that after a trip to the dry cleaners it had come through just fine. After thinking about it for another minute, she got out, walked over to her friends and took off her watch and handed it to one of them. She then came back and walked straight down the steps into the pool and swam to the other end - remarking how wonderful it felt on the hot evening, and thanking my wife for talking her into it.

While the three of us were enjoying the pool, two young couples started daring each other to go in. First in were the two guys, who took off shirts, shoes and socks and jumped in in their slacks. Then the girls, both of whom had short dresses on, kicked off their heels, unzipped each other's dresses and removed them, and then headed into the pool in bras & thongs! So now there were seven of us in the water. One of the young girls came up to my wife in the water and said how impressed she was that my wife was willing to jump in and play, not only in her dress but heels also. My wife said that she didn't want to run her stockings and when the young girl realized she had thigh highs on also, she said "wow", laughed and again said how cool she thought my wife was!

The seven of us must have spent over half an hour in the pool - maybe closer to an hour. The woman in the black dress was the first to get out - but came over first and thanked my wife again for talking her into getting in, said it had been wonderful. The two of us were the next out, back to our lounger and dry towels again. We sipped on drinks for a few minutes and then decided since it was after 1 AM already it was probably time to head for home. We closed our tab with the waitress, who said she really enjoyed us - not only were we having so much fun, but how we seemed to encourage others to enjoy the pool too. We said thanks, and that we'd likely be back again soon. Smile

Great story.. thanks for sharing..
It shows that many think of ''playing'' but for one reason or another, wont . usually because they think they will stand out and shyness takes hold..
I think some just look for an opportunity, like the gal in the black dress, but would not enter alone. Its like the fully clothed girls that sit around the hot tub, fully clothed, precariously on the edge, hoping someone may pull them in, but terrified to enter on their own..

I hope you go back there soon.. if your wardrobe survives the abuse.. lol

Amazingly, our wardrobes over the last couple years have suffered very little real damage. As an example, both dresses my wife wore into the Joule Poule (yeah, that's what they call it!) - one 100% silk and the other a silk blend - look great after trips to the dry cleaner - trips they'd have made even if they hadn't gotten wet - at a cost of about $3.50 each. They're both ready for another night on the town - and/or another evening in the pool! Very Happy Both pairs of stilettos she wore survived just fine also.

After our wedding, we played in the ocean for pictures and got completely soaked in the salt water. She, of course, was wearing a fancy long white gown and red spike heels, which she didn't bother removing either. I was in a grey linen suit with a white dress shirt and a red silk vest & tie. We went back to our condo (in Hawaii) and got under the large shower and both rinsed off thoroughly to rinse out the salt water, then hung all the clothes up to dry. The next afternoon, we put all the clothes back on and went out and played in the condo pool as well as a natural rock waterfall out front for more pictures. Again, she was totally soaked in the pool water (chlorined, I imagine) in her gown AND red heels, and I was equally drenched in the linen suit and silk vest & tie. Agaain, we went in and rinsed everything out thoroughly in the shower as we slowly undressed, and the next morning it was all fine. Finally, we put the complete outfits back on a couple days later and checked into the Grand Hyatt. We again went and played in the ocean, then in their resort pools, and even went down the water slide in full wedding attire - and got a lot more really great pictures. Rinsed everything once again, and let it dry. So her wedding dress, satin red high heels, and my linen suit and silk vest & tie - were wet in salt water and chlorine pool water three different times over the course of several days. Everything we wore looked perfectly good again after a trip to the dry cleaners after we got home (not her shoes to the dry cleaners, of course - they looked fine without any further attention.)

Since then, the red satin shoes have been in the water several more times, and they're finally after at least half a dozen different wettings starting to come apart. Since they're her wedding shoes, my wife has said she doesn't want to get them wet any more, would like to keep them for the memories.

One floor length beaded silk gown she wore into the water shrank a bit, and the under-layer is now about an inch longer than the silk outer-layer, so it needs to be taken to a seamstress to have the under-layer hemmed up a bit, but otherwise the dress LOOKS just fine. She's been in the water in silk, satin, linen, cotton, and various blends and synthetics. She's worn leather heels, patent leather heels, satin heels, fabric heels and various man-made materials. Probably at least a couple dozen different dresses, skirt/blouses over the last couple years. I've been in the water in wool and wool blend dress slacks, cotton and cotton blend dress shirts, silk shirts and linen suits - many times with silk or other ties. My wife has ruined 2 or 3 dresses and a couple pair of shoes, I ruined one pair of pants (belt bled slightly into an off-white pair) and a couple pair of leather shoes (after more than once in the water.) The last thing we worry about is something getting ruined - if it does, it does, and the fun and the memories are more than worth it. But our experience is that surprisingly few things get ruined by a single trip - or even 2 or 3 - trips into the water, whether its salt water in the ocean or chlorinated water in pools or fountains.

Thanks much for the private notes of appreciation I've gotten. No doubt that I definitely found the perfect gal for me! She loves to get dressed up - always in a dress or skirt along with heels unless she's just working around the house. And whenever we go out for an evening, she always wears stockings - even in the heat of our Texas summers. She says pantyhose are way too hot, but loves the thigh high stockings, and I love her in them!

And, as I think I've posted earlier, she not only goes into the water for me, she enjoys it every bit as much as I do and shares my feelings that its sexy and erotic. She has only one dress in her entire wardrobe that she says is "off limits" for getting wet in - the one she wore for her only son's wedding a couple years ago. Everything else is fair game, including floor length gowns, beaded/sequined silk dresses and everything else. She used to kick her shoes off most of the time before going in the water, but since she knows that I think its even more sexy for her to leave them on, she almost always does now, and says that there are NO shoes which are off limits! As I posted, the majority of clothes and shoes survive just fine, so the occasional thing which gets ruined is definitely worth it for all the fun and enjoyment we have together.

Have a great day...
